Centaurs were part human and part horse.

There are centurs in many children`s stories.

The kraken was an enormous sea creature. It lived at the

bottom of the sea . It looked like an octopus with many

legs. In the 16^th century people believed that the kraken

attacked ships and killed people. But perhaps the kraken was a giant squid and not a moster at all.

The Chimera was a creature with a lion's head and a goat's head. Its tail was a snake. Bellerophon killed the Chimera.
